Gloomwood Terror, Warden of the Blighted Grove

Deep within forests long abandoned by sunlight lurks the Gloomwood Terror, a once-ancient treant corrupted by eldritch rot and forbidden druidic rites. Where it walks, roots strangle stone and soil bleeds sickly green sap. The lanterns hanging from its twisted branches are said to contain the trapped souls of travelers who strayed too far, their fading light guiding others to the same doom.

The orb it clutches is the Heartfruit of Decay—grown from the corpse of a dying world-tree. With it, the Terror spreads corruption, warping beasts, poisoning land, and turning sacred groves into crawling nightmares of bone and vine.

Adventurers who face the Gloomwood Terror must fight not only the creature, but the forest itself—every root watching, every branch waiting to strike. Should it fall, the land may yet heal… but the scars will never fully fade.
